If you've found a category or post/topic that you're really interested in, it can be useful to get notifications any time something new is posted there. You can do this by following categories and posts.
Following a Category
Let's say you're interested in the automation category and you want to be notified about everything new that is posted in there.
- Navigate to the automation category.
- In the top right-hand side, you will see a bell icon
- Click the bell to see your list of options, the default is "Normal", to get more notifications about posts in the category, you should choose either "Tracking" or "Watching". "Watching" will send you emails and notifications within The Club for all new posts created in the category.
Following a Topic
If you've found an individual topic/post that you like and you'd like to be notified of all activity in it, you can select this in two ways.
The first is via the bell icon on the right-hand scroll bar of the post.
If you click on that bell, you will be given a list of watch/follow actions you can take for that individual topic/post. The default is "Normal" if you haven't participated in the topic/post, to get more notifications about posts in the thread, you should choose either "Tracking" or "Watching". "Watching" will send you emails and notifications within The Club for all new posts created in the thread.
If you have previously posted in the topic, the default notification will be "Watching".
The second way to change how you are notified about replies is to scroll to the bottom of the thread. On the bottom left-hand side you will see a bell icon.
If you click on that bell icon, you will get a list of watch/follow actions you can take for that individual post.
As with the option above, the default is "Normal" if you haven't participated in the topic/post, to get more notifications about posts in the thread, you should choose either "Tracking" or "Watching". "Watching" will send you emails and notifications within The Club for all new posts created in the thread.
If you have previously posted in the topic, the default notification will be "Watching".
